Job Summary

The postdoctoral associate will conduct population genomic analyses and bioinformatics of existing genetic data for Tribolium castaneum, and write publications based on the findings. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Program pipelines and customize existing pipelines to manage Tribolium castaneum genomic data.
Analyze and interpret data with respect to scientific hypotheses.
Prepare manuscripts to publish the findings in a professional peer reviewed journal.
Coordinate team meetings with PIs and collaborators.

What We Require

A PhD in entomology, ecology or evolutionary biology before the negotiated start date.
Demonstrated experience with Tribolium castaneum genomics.
Demonstrated experience detecting signatures of selection using genomic data.
Demonstrated experience investigating population fitness and inbreeding depression, such as genetic load and runs of homozygosity.
A strong publication record in peer-reviewed ecology, entomology, and evolutionary biology journals.

What You Will Need

A strong understanding of ecological and evolutionary theory.
Experience with experimental evolution. Strong coding and data management skills. Excellent communication skills.
Excellent time-management skills.
