Job Description
Attract the highest quality candidates to support the college mission and strategic plans. Execute on college recruitment strategies and generate a talent pipeline. Touch all phases of the recruitment life cycle including sourcing, screening, presentation, negotiation of employment offers, and coordination of on-boarding and pre-employment activities.
Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participate in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
Recruitment Strategy & Planning
- Partner with hiring managers and Human Resources Partners to confirm job details, and develop recruitment strategies that support the hiring goals for each role.
- Develop and review equity-centered job postings and recruitment plans aligned with institutional goals and workforce priorities.
- Advise hiring managers and search committees on recruitment timelines, market considerations, and equitable hiring practices; train and guide hiring managers and committees on inclusive search practices, including behavioral interviewing, equitable assessment, and consistent documentation of candidate evaluations.
Sourcing, Candidate Assessment & Selection
- Identify, attract, and engage diverse, qualified talent using proactive sourcing strategies, professional networks, online platforms, job fairs and other outreach partnerships.
- Review resumes, conduct prescreens, and evaluate candidates based on job-related criteria and established competencies.
- Prepare clear candidate summaries and facilitate equitable and structured evaluation with hiring managers and search committees.
- Work with hiring managers and search committees to ensure a smooth, inclusive, and positive candidate experience.
- Promote the College's employer brand and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume or hard to fill roles.
Offer Development, Delivery & Onboarding Coordination
- Develop market-informed offer recommendations, ensuring alignment with internal equity, compensation guidelines, and budget considerations.
- Deliver verbal employment offers and support negotiation discussions.
- Coordinate pre-employment steps and ensure timely candidate communication through acceptance.
- Partner with HR Operations to support a smooth and informed transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.
- Maintain communication with new hires through onboarding milestones.
Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with federal/state employment laws, institutional hiring policies and/EEO requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interview notes, assessment rubrics following the conclusion of a search.
- Track recruitment metrics to measure progress and identify areas for process improvements.
- Stay current on recruiting trends and apply sourcing and hiring innovations to enhance effectiveness and impact.
MINIMUM REQUIRED Qualifications (education, experience, certifications, licenses, knowledge, skills)
- Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in talent acquisition, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working effectively with individuals and groups from a wide range of identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage requisitions, candidate pipelines, hiring workflow, and required documentation.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws, government compliance regulations affecting recruitment, hiring, and employment, as well as compensation practices and pay equity laws.
Skills
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to source passive talent through multiple channels (professional networks, research tools, social platforms).
- Skilled in managing stakeholder relationships, particularly with hiring managers and search committees.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple searches simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout hiring practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit, or other mission-driven environments.
- Experience with Workday.
- Experience developing or supporting compensation and offer recommendations.
Compensation
In addition to a competitive benefits package, pay for this role is typically between $52,845.22 - $71,496.48 annually covering the middle half of market compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
