About the Opportunity:

Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies invites applicants for a part-time faculty position to teach in MassBioEd, located on-ground and or online in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • The instructor in the Microbiology component of the MassBioEd Apprenticeship program, serving as a subject matter expert, facilitator, and coach.
  • During the 3-week learning journey, the instructor provides constructive, timely, and real-world feedback on all content.
  • Host set Office Hours or on-demand meetings with learners to review topics.
  • The time commitment per week- including instruction, feedback, and assessment - is 9-12 hours per week. You are tentatively scheduled to teach Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.
  • Submit attendance, assignments grades, and final grades for all learners.
  • This is a fully virtual experience, and the instructor is expected to connect with the students virtually (e.g., Via Zoom, Teams, etc.); the experience is to be delivered via Canvas.


Qualifications:

Minimum qualification: Terminal degree in an aligned discipline related to MassBioEd.

Preference for candidates with a Ph.D. in a sciences field or similar.

Demonstration of teaching, coaching, and/or training is required, with a history of successful teaching (online/on ground) at the graduate level is strongly preferred.
