Key Responsibilities:

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora is seeking a full-time Instructor to join our research team. This position reports directly to Dr. Lisa Brenner, Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

The Instructor will be responsible for supporting and managing complex research initiatives within a multidisciplinary team investigating the relationships between physical and psychiatric disorders and negative psychiatric outcomes, including suicide. Key responsibilities include project management, study coordination, regulatory oversight, and contribution to the design, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of research.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in research operations and program administration, including financial and resource management, data and regulatory compliance, and development of policies and procedures to support research excellence. This individual will also coordinate systematic reviews, literature syntheses, and scientific reporting, ensuring that all project milestones are met and that deliverables adhere to institutional and sponsor requirements.



Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:



    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Master's degree

  • Demonstrated experience in research project and/or program management within an academic, clinical, or scientific setting



    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multisite or multidisciplinary research studies

  • Background in clinical or translational research related to brain health, mental health, or rehabilitation

  • Expertise in data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and operational leadership in a research environment

  • Familiarity with VA or DoD research systems and procedures



    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to manage study implementation, timelines, budgets, and regulatory documentation

  • Strong scientific communication skills, including experience contributing to manuscripts, grant applications, and presentations

  • Knowledge of human subjects research policies, data management practices, and compliance procedures

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $100,000 to $140,000



    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
