Job Description

Are you a dedicated veterinarian looking for a new way to make an impact-without the relentless pace and pressure of clinical practice? Step into the classroom and bring your real-world experience to the next generation of veterinary professionals. At Truckee Meadows Community College, we are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and compassionate DVM (or VMD) to join our Veterinary Nursing Program (and Veterinary Assistant Program) faculty.

This is your opportunity to trade in emergency calls and double-booked appointments for meaningful mentorship, collaborative teaching, and a steady schedule that still lets you make a difference-this time, in the lives of future technicians. As a full-time faculty member in our AVMA-accredited Veterinary Nursing (veterinary technician) Program, you'll play a vital role in preparing students for success in the veterinary field. You will teach and mentor students in both didactic and hands-on settings, contribute to curriculum development, participate in student assessment, and contribute to the overall academic environment. Your clinical insight and professional experience will help bridge the gap between textbook learning and real-world application.

TMCC is hiring a full-time veterinarian for student instruction in their veterinary nursing (vet tech) and veterinary assistant programs.
