Job Summary

The full-time education faculty member will teach education classes within the Department of Curriculum, Foundations and Reading in the College of Education on the Georgia Southern University - East Georgia Campus. This will focus predominantly on undergraduate courses in reading and general education in face-to-face and online formats, with content related to the science of reading. Travel between campus locations may be necessary.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Earned Master's degree (or higher) in Education or closely related field with at least eighteen graduate-level semester credit hours in reading/literacy education by August 1, 2026.

Required Experience
  • Minimum three years of experience as a full-time teacher in a K-12 setting.
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching.


Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
  • Successful college teaching experience is desirable.
  • Ability to teach face-to-face and online courses.


Proposed Salary

$62,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.

Conditions of Employment
