The University of Utah, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is seeking an Academic Clinician focused on Inflammatory Bowel Disease to be part of an established and growing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) section within our Division. We are seeking an additional faculty member to join our team, which is composed of 4 experienced colorectal surgeons, 3 RN clinical coordinators, 2.5 physician assistants, and 4 other IBD focused Gastroenterology faculty. Our program is the only Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center in the five-state region. In addition, the IBD center holds a nationally renowned annual Rocky Mountain IBD conference. The University of Utah Health is seeking to grow and strengthen our program to transform it into a Center of Excellence. The position is a mix of outpatient IBD clinic and general endoscopy and inpatient general GI consult rotation. Academic responsibilities may include working directly with the Gastroenterology fellows and medical house staff, participating in weekly educational conferences, and engagement in clinical, translational, or basic science research. Faculty members of the Division hold academic appointments at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine and may hold appointments at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Huntsman Cancer Institute. The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City and is the major referral center for a five-state region.
Minimum Qualifications: Medical Degree, board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology.
