Research Analyst
Job Summary
Performs varied support functions, including gathering and analyzing data. Contributes information or materials for research projects.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:1. Compiles data from a variety of sources. 2. Enters data into the computer system. 3. Assists in the preparation of manuscripts and presentation materials. 4. Maintains files and records of research data. 5. Drafts correspondence to answer inquiries and respond to requests about the projects. 6. Edits research papers, project reports, and publication materials. 7. May travel to a variety of sites both within and outside the University campus to obtain data.

The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field, or equivalency, plus two years of related experience. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
- A valid Utah Driver's License may be required in certain departments.
- Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
