Position Summary:
The Department of Business in the School of Arts, Culture & Society at Messiah University invites applications for a faculty position in Accounting beginning August 1, 2027.

Responsibilities:
The position includes teaching eight sections of Accounting Courses throughout the year (Financial Accounting, Survey of Accounting, Basic Income Tax, Federal Business Taxes, and Federal Individual Income Taxes) with the potential to teach one or two finance or economics courses. The position will require advising undergraduate Accounting and Business Admin majors, departmental service, oversight of the VITA program, and institutional service.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates for hire into an Assistant Term-Tenure Track position, with rank depending on qualifications and experience, are preferred to have a CPA (with MBA) or Doctoral degree in accounting. An MBA will be considered and 1-5 years of teaching experience in a college or university setting is preferred.

The Program:
Messiah's ACBSP-accredited Department of Business is the School of Arts, Culture and Society's largest department (www.messiah.edu/departments/business). Home to ten business majors and the International Business Institute, the Department provides a collegial environment in which to teach and to conduct other scholarly work. There are currently 13 full-time faculty members in the department.

The instruction for most of our Undergraduate programs is conducted primarily in person with occasional online coursework.
