The Program Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program (FHS-BAP) and related research studies. The FHS-BAP is a multidisciplinary research program focused on cognitive, dementia, and brain health surveillance, including neuropsychological testing, neurologic examinations, brain donation, and dementia diagnostic adjudication.

The position oversees study progress, protocol compliance, data quality, and the systems and workflows supporting research activities. The Program Manager directly supervises research staff and student interns, including work allocation, training and development, performance evaluation, and problem resolution. The position serves as the primary day-to-day operational liaison among research staff, trainees, program managers, internal and external study personnel, and BAP Clinical Core leadership, and identifies and addresses operational issues and opportunities to improve research processes, tracking systems, and workflows to support timely, efficient, and high-quality study execution.

Requires an advanced degree in neuropsychology, psychology, neuroscience, clinical science, public health, or a related field and 5+ years of clinical research experience, including study coordination or management and neuropsychological testing and scoring. Requires knowledge of clinical research protocols, participant management, data collection and documentation; strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills; and the ability to manage concurrent priorities with attention to data quality and protocol compliance. REDCap, agile project management, research software/systems, and appropriate use of AI tools preferred.

The candidate must feel comfortable working in an environment that seeks to modernize legacy practices and procedures and be able to remain productive with incomplete details and guidance at times. Suitable candidates will also have the ability to establish new processes and procedures that drive productivity, research quality, and responsiveness. Experience with proactively and judiciously leveraging AI to enable more efficient operations is also preferred.
