CU Athletics encourages applications for an Assistant Director of Compliance, to assist the Sr. Associate AD for Compliance with the day-to-day operations of the comprehensive NCAA, Big 12 Conference and University Athletics compliance program, focusing on rules education and monitoring!

This role is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be


Monitoring:

Manage the day to day operations of Bylaw 13 (Recruiting) and Bylaw 16 (Awards, Benefits and Expenses for Enrolled Student-Athletes) including, but not limited to, the monitoring of camps and clinics, off-campus recruiting, and student-athlete awards. Serve as the primary recruiting compliance liaison for certain sports with a focus on unofficial and official visit monitoring. Monitor team travel and contribute to the OCS football home game day operations.

Rules Education:

Distribute educational information via newsletters, social media, presentations, and other creative outlets as directed by the Director of Compliance. Assist in the facilitation of game day educational efforts, and contribute to the OCS' relational development with donors, fans and the greater Boulder community. Manage the OCS website, social media accounts and social media outreach.

OCS Liaison to Sport Programs, Athletics Department Offices and Campus Communities:

Serve as the OCS Liaison to specific collaborators as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. Liaison support will include, but is not limited to, providing Big 12 Conference and NCAA rules interpretation and offering strategic and/or operational assistance if necessary.

Other Responsibilities:

Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Senior Associate AD for Compliance.


What You Should Know

  • This position is working on-campus. Occasional Weekend event attendance is required.


What We Can Offer

  • The starting salary range is $60,000-63,000 annually.

What We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • 1 or more years of NCAA Division I compliance experience.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
