The Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology (CCSP) in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education (GGSE) invites applications for a tenure track teaching faculty position, formally listed as Lecturer with Potential for Security of Employment (LPSOE), at the Assistant Teaching Professor level, with a specialty in school psychology to begin July 1, 2021. Responsibilities will include (a) teaching a range of school psychology courses, (b) contributing to the department's school psychology credential program, (c) supervising diverse graduate students, (d) other graduate and undergraduate teaching, (e) mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and (f) university and public service.

We are seeking applicants with expertise in school psychology services for diverse populations including the Latinx population. The applicant should have a strong commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The applicant will also ideally be committed to the preparation of the next generation of school psychologists who will be prepared to facilitate the development and education of increasing diverse children, families, and communities. Spanish/English bilingualism is desired. As a Hispanic Serving Institution, we value the mentoring and advising of under-represented populations. CCSP is home to a vibrant faculty of productive scholars, a doctoral program that is highly regarded and accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists and the American Psychological Association, and the largest undergraduate minor on campus. We seek applicants who can contribute to the CCSP vision and mission (https://www.education.ucsb.edu/ccsp). The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or PsyD in Counseling, Clinical, or School Psychology. Preference will be given to applicants with a doctorate from an APA-accredited program. The candidate must be a credentialed school psychologist who is either credentialed in California or credential-eligible in the state of California.

Basic Qualifications: The minimum requirement to be considered an applicant is the completion of all requirements for a doctorate with a specialization in school psychology or closely related field except the dissertation and internship completion at the time of application.(Please clarify in your letter of interest when you expect to have your degree conferred if it has not been by the time of application.)

Additional Qualifications:
Credentialed school psychologist who is credentialed either in California or license-eligible in the state of California.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to teach, train, and supervise graduate students consistent with the National Association of School Psychologists' training standards in school psychology.
Leadership and administration skills needed to contribute to a vibrant program in school psychology
Expertise relevant to preparing students to work with diverse populations. For instance, prepared to teach, train, and supervise graduate students in the practice of school psychology in English, Spanish, and/or other languages.
