Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Coordinator of Clinical Learning oversees the administration of clinical learning experiences for all programs in the Nursing and Health Science (NHS) Division. This involves securing and evaluating clinical sites and their use; communicating schedule requests, and serving as the key liaison with the clinical sites and the Nursing and Health Science programs.

  • Oversees the process of clinical site resources including securing the clinical sites and assisting with scheduling the clinical sites.
  • Serves as point of contact for all NHS programs to the clinical site questions and directives.
  • Assist NHS faculty in securing affiliation agreements and preceptors for NHS courses.
  • Generates new and reviews existing clinical affiliation agreements; is responsible for implementation and necessary requirements associated with the agreements.
  • Assists with interpretation and dissemination of clinical site-specific paperwork, and seeks standardization for the program documentation/paperwork within clinical site(s).
  • Conducts a biannual meeting with clinical site liaisons.
  • Participates in program Coordinator meetings, advisory committee meetings Assessments & Outcomes Committee meetings, program faculty/committee meetings and NHS staff meetings.
  • Implements process to obtain clinical site staff feedback on performance of clinical site faculty.
  • Process various program surveys and evaluations which are related to the clinical experience.
  • Assist with completion of annual reports required for NHS programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Associate degree in Nursing or Health Science discipline required.
      • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare preferred.
    • Experience
      • Minimum of two years in clinical practice as an RN or health care practitioner required.
      • Experience in securing clinical sites for nursing and health science programs preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • STANDARD OFFICE EQUIPMENT: computers, printers, copy machines, working software applications and Microsoft Office suite, instructional technology.
  • Primarily office work; requires travel to clinical sites.
  • Must have exemplary written and oral communication, record keeping and data management skills.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.

    Hiring Range:
    Classified 12 Salary/54,000.00 - 57,000.00

    Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
