Data Integration Architect

Position Summary
The Data Integration Architect plans, coordinates and architects activities related to the integration of third-party software programs, applications, and solutions as required with the University enterprise resource planning system. The Data Integration Architect is also responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint for the university, overseeing testing and interoperability of application modules including commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the university and external third parties as necessary.


This position is considered a Responsible Employee under Title IX federal regulations and Mandatory Reporter under Texas state law and The UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Required Education
Bachelors degree in the field of information systems, information technology, or computer science or similar field

Required Work Experience
Experience with:
-SQL, PL/SQL and/or other scripting languages;
-Complex relational database structures;
-Writing application program interfaces;
-Systems analysis;
-Creating technical and functional specifications based on business requirements;
-Quality assurance and testing;
-Supporting enterprise resource planning and administrative systems

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in:
-Supporting the Ellucian Banner ERP or other ERP equivalent serving higher education;
-Project management techniques;
-Collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
-Higher education
