The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences in the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno seeks applicants for a tenure-track, academic year position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Decision Sciences (DS). The Department seeks a candidate with a deep and abiding career interest in the decision sciences. The position requires effective teaching as well as a program of research, and involvement in professional activities. Primary teaching responsibilities and research interests will be in Decision Sciences and Statistics. Specific assignments will depend on departmental needs. Other duties will include, but are not limited to: advising students, participating in program development, actively engaging in research and problem-solving activities, and committee service at all levels of university governance. The successful candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and college.

The CSB empowers future business leaders by helping young professionals embark on successful careers in business and economics. With approximately 3,000 majors, we offer bachelors' degrees in Business Administration (with 12 different options including one in Computer Information Systems with 100 students) and Economics, and both a traditional and executive MBA. Required Education: An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Decision Sciences, Statistics, Management Science or other closely-related disciplines from an AACSB or ABET accredited institution (or equivalent) is required; however, candidates nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered. For continued employment in the tenure-track position, the doctorate must be completed by August 17, 2020. The candidate must also demonstrate the completion of graduate-level coursework in statistics.

Required Experience: Candidates are expected to demonstrate 1) a record of teaching excellence in the decision sciences curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels; 2) an evidence of research publications in a decision sciences related field in scholarly journals, and 3) a commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

To be considered for Associate level, the candidate must demonstrate substantial evidence of excellence in teaching decision sciences at the undergraduate and graduate levels and have an established record of research and scholarly publications in a decision science related field.

Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences in the Craig School of Business seeks a candidate with a deep and abiding interest in and ability to teach Decision Sciences and Statistics Curriculum. Business, professional, or managerial experience or the completion of graduate-level course in specific Decision Sciences and Statistics is valued.
