Job Summary

Responsible for providing strategic and innovative oversight of the unit's portfolio of non-credit educational initiatives, including professional programs, community programs, third-party online programs, programs offered in support of KSU for-credit programs and faculty, and the Academic Testing Center. Develops and advances the mission and vision of Community and Professional Education and creates strategies and tactics for achieving goals that align with the University's strategic plan. Drive student enrollment while supporting the revenue generation of the unit to ensure financial stability. Work with community partners to meet corporate expectations for continuing education and workforce development in key industries in the local community.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Directs the long-range planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a portfolio of program offerings, anticipating and meeting regional economic, social, and market trends as well as the needs of a wide range of learners
2. Provides oversight and management of multi-layer teams of employees who are responsible for the implementation and financial performance of individual programs as well as the supporting shared services teams (i.e., enrollment, budget, instructional design)
3. Utilizes market and employment data and other metrics to determine which programs to develop, modify, or discontinue
4. Prepares, monitors, and administers unit and program budgets, to include setting revenue goals and managing expenses to maximize fiscal sustainability and ensures the unit remains primarily self-supporting
5. Maintains each program's compliance with profession-specific credentialing requirements
6. Manages programs through the entire lifecycle, to include working to develop new programs, collaborating with marketing team, managing program delivery teams, and evaluating program effectiveness
7. Oversees quality development of new and modifications to existing programs including instructional design, scheduling, delivery, evaluation, and potential return on investment
8. Develops, implements, and coordinates strategies and operational enhancements aimed toward ensuring programs deliver high-value services to students
9. Tracks, analyzes, and reports on enrollment metrics, customer satisfaction and other activities to enhance data-informed decision making and improve processes
10. Develops and maintains strong partnerships with external entities to design curriculum solutions that pair professional programs with industry-supported certifications to meet student and employer needs
11. Works collaboratively with campus leaders, faculty, and staff in the development and delivery of innovative non-credit and professional certificates and programs in support of strategic goals
12. Develops, communicates, and evaluates unit-wide policies and procedures and creates proactive systems and processes that result in quality service to students
13. Leads a workplace culture that is capable of executing change to meet business objectives

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university of higher education in a related field

Required Experience
Ten (10) years of related work experience to include previous management or supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Experience in market-facing performance, including profit and loss responsibility

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $86,500.00 to $120,000.00 however offers are based on relevant experience so the amount may vary.
