About the Opportunity:
The Head of Enrollment for the Roux Institute at Northeastern University has overall responsibility for the sales/recruitment and enrollment strategies that will align with and support the vision and ambitious goals for the Institute's graduate level programs. Specifically, this role is responsible for creating, leading and executing differentiated sales strategies that will be effective in enhancing recruitment, driving enrollment, and develop brand reputation for the Roux Institute at Northeastern University. She/He will have oversight of all enrollment management functions including Admissions, field Recruitment teams and related sales support for the Roux Institute and be capable of managing innovation within a progressive institutional network and environment.

Responsibilities:
The Head of Enrollment will be data-driven in her/his approach to sales, ensuring the tracking of information and trends to measure effectiveness of various lead generation approaches in meeting enrollment targets. She/he will oversee the development of a KPI framework to measure strategy effectiveness and contribute to an overall enrollment KPI framework to measure results against enrollment goals. The primary objectives for this executive leader will be to ensure that the Institute is putting the appropriate sales and go-to-market strategy in place to attract high caliber students, and to scale the new student enrollment experience and process, (including the learner journey for prospective students through new student registration for the Roux Institute).

The Head of Enrollment will ultimately drive revenue for Northeastern through innovative strategies that attract - and retain - students to the Roux Institute. This is a highly visible role; this leader will collaborate with key partners, both internally and externally. It is an opportunity to lead and influence at the highest levels in relation to a newly developed and strategically critical part of the Northeastern University ecosystem.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • At least 10-15 years working in a professional sales (and/or recruiting) capacity - preferably with direct-to-consumer experience within the context of a highly selective and/or elite product or experience.

  • Proven track record of innovative sales and/or enrollment strategies that led to successful growth in a startup or similar environment.

  • 7-10 years of supervisory experience; preferably experience with leading teams from various units.

  • Ability to think critically and provide strategic guidance on enrollment and retention-related matters.

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task, be organized, and work independently within a matrix organization.

  • Must have a high level of customer service skills and attention to detail.

  • Networked approach to developing leadership style is key; must be comfortable in an environment of deep collaboration, engagement and creativity from all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment are a must.

  • Strong leadership skills that require a balance of managing day to day activities, as well as oversight of senior leaders on team.

  • Expected to have strong and collaborative approach to managing relationships within complex environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgment.

  • Occasional travel required.
