Job Summary / Basic Function
Job Summary:
Provides instruction for students enrolled in Accounting courses in the Business Technologies department, including Dual Enrolled students. Must be competent to teach courses in accounting procedures, personal finance, income tax and other topics related to the discipline. Additional duties include advising, tutoring, student counseling, recruiting, work with advisory committees and assist with developing curriculum as needed. Perform related duties as required. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and summer classes on the LIT campus and/or off-campus locations.

1. Willing to develop skills necessary to teach online courses.
2. Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Possess good time management skills.
4. Knowledge of policies and procedures contained in TSUS and LIT Policies and Procedures Manual.
5. Perform related duties as required.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to needs of the university.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education Required:
A Masters Degree in Accounting or Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Accounting from a regionally accredited institution is required.
Minimum Experience Required:
A working knowledge in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Applications is required. Official transcripts must be submitted with application.
