Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Learning Experience/Digital Accessibility Designer helps shape how faculty, students, and staff effectively use and interact with the Learning Management System and associated instructional technologies. The Learning Experience/Digital Accessibility Designer coordinates project activities and processes to incorporate design thinking, user-centered and participatory design in the creation of instructional and learning assets that align to online quality frameworks and evidence-based best-practices.
Qualifications:
Education
- Certified Professional in Accessibility of Core Competencies (CPACC) or continuing education hours in Accessibility required.
- Bachelors in Instructional Design, UX, or Adult Learning Theory preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in instructional technology support required.
- Demonstrated experience remediating digital documents and webpages for accessibility preferred.
- HTML/XHTML (including W3C standards and WCAG accessibility standards), industry certification preferred.
- HTML5, CSS, Flex experience preferred.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and of implementation of those principles preferred.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and web-hosting server issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, Windows, Linux) preferred.

Hiring Range:
Classified 13 Salary/63,000.00 - 68,500.00
