NYIT's College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a Research Assistant, part time, for the department of Biomedical Sciences located in Old Westbury.


Responsibilities
Support research into basic mechanisms of vascular calcification and atherosclerosis (PMC4845279, PMC5638543).

Execution of experiments under supervision, data analysis, computational modeling, and coordination of work with collaborators.


Qualifications
The applicant must hold or currently work towards a B.S. or M.S. degree in Life Sciences or Engineering.

A strong interest in basic cardiovascular research and/or computational modeling is required.

Preferably, the candidate will be currently enrolled in one of the NYIT undergraduate or graduate programs.

Applicants must be self-motivated, methodical, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
