The School of Communications at Webster University invites applications for a non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Media Communications and Media Studies, in our Department of Communications & Journalism. We are seeking candidates with a broad, integrated perspective, able to contribute to curriculum and scholarship at multiple points, and excited by the pace of change in the field. International experience and interests are desirable and candidates may have additional interests or specialties in strategic communication, political communication, organizational, interpersonal, health, or other fields of communication and media.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D., teaching experience, and evidence of potential for academic career success are required; candidates with plans to complete the Ph.D. by Fall 2018 may apply. Women and members of underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply, as are candidates with international and interdisciplinary experience.

Essential Duties
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and advise students in Media Communications and related areas, provide faculty service, and engage in professional development, including scholarship and creative activity. We are seeking a colleague whose experience and expertise complements that of our existing faculty, who brings new perspectives to discussions of curriculum revision and strategic planning for the department.
